Wherefore Art?

Why do you make art/theatre?

  • Kassy
    • Because a story is a kind of evangelism
      • (the only kind I can stomach from myself and a kind that not many people realize they are engaging in)
    • Because a story is a representation of the things that we see, want to see, and have forgotten to see.
    • Because we live in a world with questions and spaces around the stories that exist because the left something out.
    • Because asking the question frames the spaces of what we don’t know and allows us, invites us to imagine—image--how to get where we want to go  together.
    • Because we need to go into the place the stories left out.

How do we engage as scholars with material?

How do we perform rigorous curiosity as leaders/creators?

What is the lens or story whereby we communicate/present info/things to others?

How do we foster rigorous curiosity?

How to we engage, foster, explore Mystery?

How can we disrupting the established order in creative and productive ways?

How do we encounter and explore the threat of decentralized and curious creation?
